San Francisco is located halfway between Seattle and San Diego, or London and Tokyo, and is one of the most exciting and spectacular cities in the United States. It baffles with its rich history and cultural scene and will leave you in awe.
Your journey will start right at the doorsteps of your hotel or Airbnb, where our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide will pick you up in a luxury vehicle. The tour will begin at the Civic Plaza, where the central city, state, and federal offices are located. You will discover the City Hall, the City Library, San Francisco’s Opera and Ballet theaters, and the famous Davies Symphony Hall.
Right after, you will go to Saint Mary’s Cathedral, a masterpiece of modern architecture, a peaceful bubble in the heart of a city full of life and excitement. We will then move on to the seashore, where the popular Cliff House scenic overlook towers over the City Beach and the remains of the Sutro Baths, a 19th-century world wonder.
Your next stop will be at Golden Gate Park, a giant park built in 1880 on the mesmerizing dunes of San Francisco. The landscape there features Dutch-style windmills, grazing buffaloes, an original Japanese tea garden, a futuristic museum of Eastern Art, and the oldest glass-and-wood Victorian greenhouse, a perfect replica of the memorable 19th-century London attraction.
You will then be taken to Lincoln Park. On the way there, you will pass the largest Orthodox Church and then go to the scenic overlook of the Golden Gate Bridge. After taking some time to enjoy the beauty of the bridge and the views around it, we will take you to one of the most picturesque places in California, a unique monument of nature full of redwoods – John Muir Woods.
In 1905, during the Gold Rush, this peculiar city started to grow, and it became clear that redwood was the perfect raw building material. One of San Francisco’s business people, William Kent, decided to buy the forest land and donate it to the federal government. Three years later, in 1908, President Theodore Roosevelt proclaimed this area a national monument of nature. By Kent’s request, it was named after John Muir, a well-known protector of the environment.

So fun! We got great views and cool places we would’ve never seen/found on our own. Driver/tour guide was funny, knowledgeable, and knew how to get around the city quickly and easily. We’d never been able to do this on our own… It was super easy, fun, and a highlight of the trip for our children, especially seeing these amazing redwoods.

The best part is having a private tour geared towards your personal interests. So worth it! We’ve done tours with USA VIP Tours in multiple cities, and they were always top-notch. Couldn’t be happier!

What a vibe! We highly recommend taking this tour. Our tour guide Tristan and the tour itself was fantastic! Kids enjoyed it as much as we did, which says enough. Do not hesitate if you’re wanting private tour of San Francisco tailored to your needs then don’t look past this one, it’s amazing!
