This fabulous single-day trip will impress even the most experienced travelers. During this tour, you’ll feel the spirit of California, try the most incredible seafood, enjoy the crisp fresh air, and drown yourself in the best views this sunny state offers.
Your journey will begin right at the doorsteps of your hotel or Airbnb, where our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide will pick you up in a luxury vehicle. Two hours after leaving San Francisco, you will start noticing the shore, which means that we are at the entrance of the bay (and the city) of Monterey.
The “smallest capital of California” will not leave you indifferent. Monterey has a lot to offer with its old Spanish colonial buildings, wonderful pier, and memorable Cannery Row (a street full of fish canning factories). If you’re a marine life buff, you can visit one of the largest aquariums in the United States, where you’ll see unusual and exotic ocean animals, such as giant octopuses, sea otters, and seahorses.
After this, we will make our way to Carmel, a genuinely charming town on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Tiny and picturesque, this 8000-people town consists of hundreds of art galleries, unique shops, and open-air restaurants, located right on some of the most beautiful white sand beaches you’ll ever see. Many former Hollywood stars live in Carmel, and Clint Eastwood was once the town’s Honorary Mayor. During the Spanish period, San Carlos Catholic Mission was founded here, and Franciscan monk Junipero Sierra, the founder of the California mission, lived in it.

It was an excellent, informative and beautiful tour. Well-paced and super enjoyable. Great information and knowledge shared. A must do one day trip from San Francisco.

This trip was AMAZING. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get out of the city and see the coast. The tour guide-driver was excellent, very knowledgeable about the history and places we travelled through. His personality was infectious, very good humored and upbeat the entire day. It truly was a bespoke experience.

A perfect way to enjoy the California coast between San Francisco and Carmel! A long day, but it was filled with beautiful scenery, amazing food and lots of information from our guide Kate! The view passing through Santa Cruz was incredible and the walk down the hill to touch our toes in the sands of Carmel was completely worth it!
